Procurement Staff

About the role

The Procurement Staff member will support Evonik’s purchasing activities by executing established procurement processes, monitoring contract performance and providing market insights. Working independently, you will act as the main contact for suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring smooth delivery of goods and services while contributing to cost‑effective sourcing decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve procurement targets and support colleagues following defined procurement systems.
• Identify trends, summarize contract performance and feed findings into new negotiations.
• Coordinate activities of subcontractors and suppliers as the primary point of contact within the contract management plan.
• Collect, collate and analyse data using pre‑set tools and formats, preparing complex documents and special reports.
• Analyse cost drivers, market dynamics and alternative suppliers to provide solid market information for decision‑making.

Required profile

• Minimum education: High School / FE College (2 A‑Levels).
• Proven experience in procurement or related functions, capable of working unsupervised.
• Strong verbal communication and negotiation abilities, able to reach consensus among internal and external parties.
• Ability to develop plans, perform budgeting and finance tasks, and produce clear reports without supervision.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
