Product Manager (Early Career) - Nairobi

About the role

Greenspoon is hiring an early-career Product Manager in Nairobi, a full-time management-level position based on site. The role sits in a product team working alongside senior product owners, taking ownership of a slice of one product area from the first quarter. Most products are internal tools used by buyers, warehouse staff, pickers, riders, finance and customer service, plus the customer app and website.

Key responsibilities

• Work in one of four product areas: Inventory & Waste, Last Mile Delivery, Commercial Excellence, Scale & Compliance or Customer Value.
• Understand the real workflow, find the root cause of recurring problems, write clear problem statements and specs for engineers, and track results.
• Prioritise a backlog and decide what gets built.
• Use AI tools to prototype small internal tools and turn data into insights.
• Make sure the team actually uses what is built.

Required profile

• 2 to 4 years of experience in a demanding role; many candidates come from development, operations, data or analytics, consulting or start-ups.
• Technically literate: can read SQL, sketch a data model and follow engineering discussions.
• Has solved problems nobody asked for, such as a report, a script or a rewritten process.
• Commercially aware, able to link features to margin, availability, working capital or retention.
• Decisive with incomplete information, low ego, and comfortable working with people very different from themselves.
