Product Manager - Security (Ubuntu Platform)

About the role

Canonical is looking for a Product Manager to lead the security product lifecycle for the Ubuntu platform. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to shape product vision and drive execution.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the product development lifecycle, setting priorities and goals.
• Collaborate with engineering, design, marketing and sales to align on priorities and keep execution on track.
• Conduct market research, analyse industry trends and gather customer feedback to identify opportunities.
• Communicate product vision, status updates and key decisions to ensure alignment.
• Run usability testing, analyse feedback and iterate to improve user experience.
• Develop go‑to‑market strategies, create product documentation and provide training.
• Support the sales team by reviewing customer feedback and participating in meetings.
• Oversee product line consistency across teams and resolve cross‑departmental conflicts.

Required profile

• Exceptional academic results at high school and university.
• Strong understanding of Linux and the open source community.
• Knowledge of computer architecture, application development, datacenters or cloud.
• Passion for technology writing and continuous learning.
• Strong sense of ownership, problem‑solving ability and excellent English communication.
• Willingness to travel internationally up to four times a year.
