Production Lead – Third Party Seed Operations

About the role

The Production Lead – Third Party Seed Operations will oversee end‑to‑end third‑party activities to ensure timely, high‑quality production of hybrid vegetable seeds. Reporting to the Seed Production Specialist, you will coordinate vendor growers, manage crop plans and guarantee compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage seed demand from the Global planner, allocating land and greenhouse resources.
• Provide detailed crop plans to vendors, including quantities, plant density, acreage and weekly labour schedules.
• Prepare and submit monthly Vendor Progress Reports to keep planning and marketing teams informed.
• Oversee seed collection, delivery to growers, and return of surplus seed to the home farm store.
• Maintain accurate consumable stock levels and place orders as needed.
• Lead production teams, training them on planting, labelling, de‑suckering, defoliation, emasculation, pollination, harvesting, drying, storage and phytosanitary standards.
• Coordinate crop protection, irrigation and nutrition plans with relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure contracts are signed on time and support Fair Labour auditors.
• Facilitate KEPHIS crop inspections and enforce HSE regulations.

Required profile

• M.Sc. in agriculture, horticulture, agronomy or crop protection.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in seed production or related field.
• Proven ability to manage third‑party vendors and large‑scale crop operations.
• Strong knowledge of phytosanitary standards, HSE rules and fair‑labour practices.
