Production Planning Coordinator

About the role

The Production Planning Coordinator will translate customer demand, manufacturing capacity, and material requirements into integrated, executable plans. This role ensures efficient operations, reliable delivery, inventory optimisation and supports sustainable business growth for a leading textile solutions provider in Sub‑Saharan Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain integrated production plans aligned with customer demand and business priorities.
• Coordinate production scheduling and sequencing to maximise operational efficiency.
• Monitor and optimise manufacturing capacity utilisation, identifying constraints and recommending improvements.
• Coordinate material planning with procurement to ensure uninterrupted production and drive inventory optimisation.
• Identify, assess and escalate planning risks, monitor performance against plans and provide insights and corrective actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, Statistics or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in production planning, inventory planning, supply chain management or manufacturing operations.
• Demonstrated experience in capacity planning and cross‑functional team coordination.
• Practical experience with ERP/SAP systems and planning tools.
