Program Officer – AIM

About the role

The Program Officer (PO) will lead the implementation and monitoring of the Action for Impact and Empowerment (AIM) programme in Kisii, Kenya. Reporting to the AIM Branch Manager, the PO oversees field‑level activities across social & economic empowerment, livelihood and education pathways, and an enabling environment for adolescent girls and young women.

Key responsibilities

• Provide supervisory support for all AIM activities at branch level, ensuring planning, rollout, implementation and tracking according to the operations manual.
• Lead community identification, household surveys, participant selection using the BInsight application, and set‑up of AIM clubs.
• Recruit, train and supervise mentors, facilitate YDC and VSLA formation, and oversee livelihood and education support distribution.
• Ensure accurate data collection, MIS reporting, financial tracking and donor reporting.
• Coordinate with BRAC micro‑finance teams, regional technical staff and community stakeholders to achieve program targets, including 80% transition of participants to micro‑finance services.

Required profile

• Degree in Development Studies, Social Sciences or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of program management experience in development or NGO settings.
• Experience supervising field staff and managing community‑based programmes.
