About the role
The Program Officer will support the Food & Cash Assistance sector in developing high‑quality proposals, managing donor reporting, and ensuring compliance with World Vision standards. Based in Nairobi, the role involves regular remote coordination with field staff in Sudan.
Key responsibilities
- Support the Sector Lead in drafting concept notes, proposals, budgets and related documents for new and existing projects.
- Coordinate with technical, finance, MEAL, operations and support teams to gather inputs for proposal development and ensure alignment with donor priorities and submission deadlines.
- Lead expansion opportunities with additional donors and manage grant start‑up, modification and close‑out processes.
- Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly and annual donor reports, as well as high‑quality success stories and programme updates.
- Maintain organized programme files, grant documentation and project records, and support the development of SOPs and risk registers.
- Monitor programme implementation, track deliverables and milestones, and organise review meetings.
- Ensure compliance with donor regulations and World Vision policies, and follow up on audit findings and recommendations.
Required profile
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Development/Social Science, Agriculture, International Relations or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in food and cash assistance programming, proposal development, reporting and programme monitoring, preferably with an NGO or humanitarian organization.
- Strong written and verbal English skills; Arabic is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to Sudan, subject to security clearance.
- Based in Nairobi with regular remote coordination with Sudan‑based field staff.
