Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) Operator

About the role

The PLC Operator will ensure that PLC‑controlled production lines run smoothly, delivering optimal equipment performance and minimal downtime. You will program, troubleshoot and maintain automation systems in a fast‑paced FMCG manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, monitor and maintain PLC‑controlled production equipment.
• Program, modify, troubleshoot and optimise PLCs from Siemens, Allen‑Bradley and Schneider.
• Diagnose and resolve automation, electrical and control system faults.
• Maintain and troubleshoot Bühler automation platforms using WinCos.
• Configure and support HMI and SCADA systems.
• Maintain Variable Frequency Drives, communication networks, sensors, actuators, servo systems and process instrumentation.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on automated equipment.
• Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Support installation, commissioning and upgrades of control systems.
• Document maintenance activities, system changes and technical reports.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Instrumentation & Control, Industrial Automation or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in manufacturing or industrial automation.
• Hands‑on experience with Bühler automation systems and WinCos.
• Proven ability to program, configure and troubleshoot Siemens, Allen‑Bradley and Schneider PLCs.
