Programme Coordinator – SRHR Next Programme

About the role

The Programme Coordinator provides strategic leadership and coordination for the SRHR Next programme, overseeing country work plans, budgets and partner reporting to ensure effective implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and coordination to ensure implementing partners and stakeholders are aligned with the SRHR Next programme objectives at the country level.
• Coordinate the planning, development and review of co‑created annual Country Work Plans in line with the programme Theory of Change.
• Organise and convene in‑country annual planning and technical review meetings, and monitor progress of implementation against work plans and budgets.
• Manage joint activity budgets, ensure timely submission of narrative, financial and PMEL reports, and address partner under‑performance according to escalation guidelines.
• Facilitate collaboration, shared learning and joint advocacy among coalition partners, and represent the Kenya SRHR Next coalition at local, national and international events.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Development Studies or related field (Master’s degree is an advantage).
• At least 5 years experience managing a coalition or consortium, with minimum 3 years in a coordination role within an SRHR or NGO environment.
• Proven experience in programme management, reporting, budget oversight and monitoring & evaluation (PMEL).
• Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to work independently and travel to programme sites.
• Familiarity with the sexual and reproductive health and rights landscape in Kenya and the region.
