Programs Coordinator – Kenya

About the role

The Programs Coordinator provides strategic leadership and technical oversight for the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of all Secours Islamique France programmes in Kenya. Reporting to the Head of Mission, the role ensures programme quality, donor compliance and effective resource use while supporting resource mobilisation and partnership development.

Key responsibilities

• Lead evidence‑based programme design aligned with organisational priorities and donor requirements.
• Identify funding opportunities and lead the development of proposals and concept notes.
• Ensure programmes comply with donor regulations, SIF policies and humanitarian standards.
• Oversee programme quality assurance, MEAL systems and risk management.
• Represent SIF with donors, UN agencies, government bodies, NGOs and partners.
• Lead recruitment, capacity building and performance management of programme staff.
• Coordinate closely with Finance, Logistics, HR, MEAL and Security teams.
• Promote compliance with Child Safeguarding, PSEA, anti‑fraud and Code of Conduct policies.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in a development‑related field (e.g., Community Development, International Cooperation, Food Security, WASH, Protection).
• At least 8 years of humanitarian/development experience, including 4+ years in a senior programme coordination or management role.
• Proven experience in sectors such as Food Security, Livelihoods, Cash Transfer, WASH, Shelter, DRR or Youth/Women empowerment.
• Experience in the Kenya and/or Somalia context is a strong advantage.
• Strong track record in proposal writing and donor reporting in English.
