Project Assistant – Community Development (Internship)

About the role

The International Transformation Foundation is seeking a motivated Project Assistant to support its community‑focused initiatives across Kenya. This position offers hands‑on experience in project planning, field work, and stakeholder coordination within a youth‑led non‑profit environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing ITF projects and community activities.
• Conduct field visits, community assessments, and monitor project progress.
• Prepare and compile project and activity reports, including documentation and photos.
• Coordinate community meetings, trainings, workshops, and awareness events.
• Support budgeting, logistics, and operational coordination for projects.
• Collect data for monitoring and evaluation and contribute to reporting.
• Liaise with volunteers, schools, community leaders, and beneficiaries.
• Help organize project launches and engagement activities.

Required profile

• Age between 18 and 30 years.
• Commitment of at least six months.
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Community Development, Social Sciences, Environmental Studies, Development Studies, or a related field (preferred).
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
• Willingness to work in diverse, multicultural communities and participate in field activities.

Required skills

• Good report writing and computer proficiency.
