Project Manager – PIMS Implementation

About the role

The Project Manager will lead a cross‑departmental team to implement the Primary Health, Pharmacy and Inventory Management System (PIMS) for International Medical Corps. Working with colleagues in the US, Jordan, Croatia, Kenya and other locations, you will acquire partners and vendors, oversee implementation, and ensure successful adoption and client loyalty. Candidates must be eligible to work in Kenya without sponsorship.

Key responsibilities

• Define project scope, goals and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
• Plan, schedule and track project timelines, milestones and budgets using appropriate tools.
• Communicate expectations, status reports and progress to team members and stakeholders.
• Manage project risks, dependencies, and critical path, and develop contingency plans.
• Lead, mentor and coordinate a multidisciplinary project team, delegating tasks and resolving conflicts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering or related field; MBA preferred.
• 7+ years of hands‑on experience leading medium to highly complex projects, including at least 3 years at manager or director level.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or Prince2 certification.
• Proven ability to work in high‑pressure, fast‑paced environments and manage multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience using project management software.
• Familiarity with diagram and process‑flow tools.
• Knowledge of statistical software.
• Strong technical troubleshooting and research abilities.
