Public Works Coordinator

About the role

The Town of Colchester is seeking a Public Works Coordinator to provide high‑quality written and oral customer service, administrative support, and technical assistance across the Public Works Department and the Town Manager's office.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver prompt and professional communication to internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage business and financial functions, including budgeting assistance and expense tracking.
• Coordinate education, outreach, and public information initiatives.
• Maintain and organize departmental data, records, and reports.
• Support office management tasks such as scheduling, filing, and procurement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with coursework in communications, customer service, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in a customer‑service or office‑management role.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Experience in municipal or public‑works environments is highly desirable.
