Quality Assurance Supervisor

About the role

Talent Grid Africa, on behalf of a packaging materials manufacturer, is seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor to ensure raw materials, work‑in‑progress and finished products meet quality standards and customer specifications. The role leads daily QA activities, supervises quality staff, and drives continuous improvement while complying with GMP and company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily QA operations and provide technical support on the production floor.
• Inspect raw materials, WIP and finished goods to verify compliance before release.
• Monitor processes, identify deviations and work with production to implement corrective actions.
• Conduct root cause analysis and manage CAPA implementation and follow‑up.
• Generate Certificates of Analysis, quality reports and maintain accurate documentation.
• Investigate customer complaints, recommend corrective measures and monitor their effectiveness.
• Chair CAPA meetings in the Head of Quality’s absence and document minutes.
• Ensure laboratory equipment is maintained, calibrated and safe; manage sample retention and housekeeping.
• Supervise, schedule and support Quality Inspectors and Glue Mixing Personnel.
• Train employees on GMP, GHP, GLP and other quality management procedures.
• Monitor compliance with ISO standards, health‑safety regulations and manufacturing best practices.

Required profile

• Experience supervising quality assurance activities in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with GMP, GHP, GLP and ISO quality standards.
• Ability to lead CAPA meetings and conduct root cause analysis.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills.
