Rating Field Inspector – Home Energy Testing

About the role

Aeroseal is seeking a Rating Field Inspector to support its mission of improving home energy performance. Working under a certified HERS rater, you will conduct inspections and testing for residential and multifamily properties to ensure compliance with energy ratings and code requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Perform home performance testing, including blower‑door, duct leakage, fan flow, and room‑pressure differential measurements.
• Verify on‑site thermal bypass, air‑leakage compliance, and insulation grading.
• Generate site inspection reports using the Company Cam application.

Required profile

• No prior experience required; construction trade experience is a plus.
• Ability to lift equipment up to ~50 lb, climb ladders, and handle physically demanding tasks.
• Reliable transportation for equipment and ladders.
• Capacity to work from home when not in the field.
• Strong organization and communication skills.
• Commit to completing RESNET RFI training within two months of hire.

Required skills

• Operation of residential air‑leakage and duct‑leakage testing equipment.
• Blower‑door testing proficiency.
• Use of Company Cam app for report generation.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, email, PDFs, digital images).
• RESNET RFI training certification.
