Regional Manager - Sales and Technical

About the role

Q-Sourcing Limited trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African region (Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda and South Sudan). On behalf of its client, it is recruiting a Regional Manager-Sales and Technical to work in Nairobi, Kenya. The role turns client requirements into a solution built from a standard set of offerings and acts as a single point of contact or part of a team, accountable from stage 1 to deal closure.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare the sales strategy for the Kenya market and build a strong enquiry base for the products and services.
• Analyse market requirements and competitors' plans and strategies, and prepare the business.
• Create and lead a team of effective sales personnel.
• Prepare presentations, proposals, schedules, work plans, budgets and MIS reports according to each customer's needs.
• Help prepare tenders with supporting staff and take the lead to win them.
• Build close relationships with consultants, contractors, customers and other working staff.
• Translate buyer requirements into a standard solution, proposal and cost estimate.
• Collaborate with the sales team to present the solution to the client and internal groups.
• Stay up to date on products and services, and be aware of quality assurance, safety and environmental requirements.

Required profile

• Diploma Engineer, BSc or B.Tech preferred.
• At least 5 to 15 years of experience in a similar capacity with a high success rate.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a reputable generator company.
• Experience selling DG sets, gas sets and solar power plants and providing turnkey solutions.
• Willingness to travel.
