About the role
The Technical University of Kenya is recruiting a Registered Nurse II (Grade IX) in Nairobi (Westlands). The post is permanent and pensionable, and applicants must quote the reference number TUK/AD/02/2026 on their application letter and envelope.
Key responsibilities
- Administer prescribed drugs and medications to patients
- Maintain accurate records of all drugs administered
- Treat minor ailments within established clinical protocols
- Participate in patient triaging to prioritize medical care
- Counsel staff, patients and clinical clients
- Assess patients' clinical needs for nursing services
Required profile
- Diploma in Nursing (or a comparable qualification) from an accredited examination body
- Registration with a relevant professional body
- A valid practicing license from the relevant professional body
- At least three years of relevant work experience in a busy clinical or hospital setting
