  • Ensure antenatal, maternity, postnatal care, family planning and post-abortion services follow Ministry of Health guidelines.
  • Organize maternal, perinatal death and near-miss audits and foster links between clinical services, community health and HIV programs.
  • Support high-risk clinic follow-up and referral protocols, and identify training needs for SRH service providers.
  • Organize support supervision, facility assessments, community demand creation activities and maternity open days, and keep records and data quality under review.
  • Prepare donor reports, update SRH indicators against UNHCR, Sphere and MOH standards, and monitor the EMR system.
  • Monitor family planning commodity orders, cervical cancer screening, post-abortion care and use of IRC community health supplies.
  • Train auxiliary staff such as community health workers and safe motherhood promoters, and manage RMNCAH grants and budgets using INTEGRA and BVA systems.
  • Build partnerships with community structures, ministries and international NGOs, and compile weekly, monthly and donor reports.

Required profile

  • Degree or diploma in clinical medicine or a Kenya-registered community health nursing qualification; a higher national diploma in reproductive health is mandatory.
  • A postgraduate diploma or degree in public or environmental health is an added advantage.
  • Registered and licensed to practice by the relevant regulatory body.
  • Five years of experience delivering RMNCAH services in a high-volume health facility, and three years in a complex humanitarian NGO setting; humanitarian experience is an added advantage.

Required skills

  • Training in MPDSR, CEmONC, MNCH, CMR-IPV and Community Health Strategy.
