Routine Immunization Coverage & Equity Consultant (Roster)

About the role

UNICEF is seeking experienced consultants to join a roster supporting the Immunization Agenda 2030 and Gavi 6.0 strategies. The role focuses on improving routine immunization coverage and equity, particularly for zero‑dose and under‑vaccinated children in remote, urban‑poor, conflict‑affected, and minority settings.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive Coverage and Equity Assessments (CEA) to map immunization gaps and drivers of inequity.
• Integrate gender analysis with equity findings and develop targeted interventions.
• Support holistic planning for Gavi‑eligible countries, incorporating CEA and gender insights into situational analyses.
• Monitor zero‑dose implementation (ZDIM) and use data for adaptive management.
• Provide technical guidance for tailoring strategies to remote rural, urban, conflict, and underserved populations.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in public health, epidemiology, health economics, or a related field.
• Proven experience in immunization programs, equity assessments, or global health consulting.
• Familiarity with IA2030, Gavi strategies, and UNICEF immunization frameworks.
• Strong analytical and report‑writing skills, with ability to work remotely and travel to duty stations as needed.
