Safety/Technical Trainer (Part‑time)

About the role

This part‑time position supports the Bureau of Utility Operations by delivering formal and informal training on electrical, instrumentation, mechanical, and safety topics for the water and wastewater sector. The role is on‑site and limited to a maximum of 1,500 training hours.

Key responsibilities

• Design, prepare, and deliver safety and technical training sessions for bureau staff.
• Monitor training effectiveness, collect feedback, and recommend improvements.
• Conduct field certification training to ensure OSHA and MOSH compliance.
• Collaborate with subject‑matter experts to develop assessment tests for in‑house programs.
• Maintain training records, statistics, and required reports.

Required profile

• High school diploma (or equivalent).
• OSHA 30 certification or ability to obtain it upon hire.
• At least 5 years of on‑the‑job training experience in electrical, mechanical, or building‑trades environments.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Valid non‑commercial Class C driver’s license.
