Sales and Collections Internship

About the role

4G Capital is seeking a Sales and Collections Intern to support its mission of providing unsecured working capital to micro and small businesses across Kenya. The intern will help acquire new customers, manage loan repayments, and contribute to the health of the loan portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Generate new leads, conduct due diligence, and offer tailored business training.
• Manage collections, ensure timely repayments, and maintain communication with clients.
• Handle default cases, negotiate repayment plans, and escalate when necessary.
• Build long‑term relationships with clients, referral partners, and stakeholders.
• Follow credit policies, conduct risk assessments, and stay compliant with regulations.
• Monitor market trends and competitor offerings to support customer acquisition.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of sales and collections experience, preferably in a financial institution.
• Strong understanding of loan products, credit analysis, and risk management.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building abilities.
• Commitment to financial inclusion and willingness to relocate to underserved regions.
