Sales Engineer - Generator Sales

About the role

Q-Sourcing Limited trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating across the East African region. On behalf of its client, it is recruiting a Sales Engineer to work in Nairobi, Kenya. The role covers generator sales, lead generation, tender participation and after-sales coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve the annual budget for generator unit sales and parts sales.
• Generate leads for generators and build a strong enquiry base, through customer visits, digital marketing and networking.
• Prepare techno-commercial proposals, presentations and quotations, and follow up daily with potential customers.
• Analyse market requirements and competitors' strategies, map tender opportunities and ensure participation in tenders.
• Build networks of consultants, contractors and service providers, and coordinate installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance and overhauls of generator sets.
• Maintain MIS reports on enquiries, sales, the customer database and the service schedule.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Proven experience as a sales manager or similar role in the automotive or leasing industry.
• Strong understanding of vehicle leasing processes and market dynamics.
• Leadership, negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills; results-driven and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
• Data analysis and decision-making abilities.
