Sales Executive - Flower Industry

About the role

Q-Sourcing Limited, trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec, is a manpower management firm operating in the East African region. Acting on behalf of its client, it is recruiting a competent, skilled and experienced Sales Executive to represent the company in Kenya. The role combines sales, client development, procurement and market intelligence in the international flower trade.

Key responsibilities

• Represent the company in Kenya and internationally, and search for new clients worldwide, especially wholesale buyers and retail chains of 5-10 shops or more.
• Build relationships with potential subcontractors and strategic partners, and introduce new products and farms to clients.
• Advise clients on seasonal availability, quality and pricing, manage incoming orders and send timely confirmations, and design promotional campaigns and special offers.
• Order fresh flowers from partner farms in Kenya according to client requests, and explore new farms and varieties to diversify the product range.
• Handle air logistics: coordinate cargo schedules and documentation with freight forwarders, calculate proforma invoices covering product, freight, packing and other charges, and monitor international freight costs.
• Report regularly to the client on sales activities, market trends and opportunities, and avoid side work that creates conflicts of interest.

Required profile

• Proven track record in sales, ideally in the flower, perishable goods or export industries.
• Fluent English; other languages are an advantage.
• Flexible, proactive and professional appearance, able to work across time zones and under pressure.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of international air logistics and shipping operations.
• Experience calculating proforma invoices and building accurate cost structures.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
