Sales & Inventory Officer

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Sales & Inventory Officer to join our client’s bicycle retail team in Nairobi. The role combines front‑line sales support with disciplined inventory management to ensure customers receive the right products on time.

Key responsibilities

• Respond promptly to customer enquiries via walk‑ins, phone, WhatsApp, email and social media, recommend suitable bicycles, accessories and spare parts, and prepare accurate quotations.
• Capture confirmed orders, verify stock availability, coordinate invoicing with Finance and track orders through to delivery or collection.
• Maintain up‑to‑date stock records in Zoho Inventory, record receipts, transfers, sales, returns and adjustments, conduct cycle counts and raise replenishment alerts.
• Monitor stock levels, investigate discrepancies, and document damaged or defective items.
• Provide product knowledge on bicycle models and accessories, refer complex technical queries to the workshop, and follow up after sales for warranty or service issues.
• Prepare daily and weekly sales reports, including quotations, conversion rates, pending orders and stock‑out alerts.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree (field not specified).
• At least one month of relevant experience in sales, inventory or retail operations.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Zoho Inventory or a comparable inventory management system.
