Sales Supervisor – Steel Products

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Sales Supervisor to lead our steel products team in Mombasa. The role focuses on driving B2B sales of structural steel, reinforcement, pipes and related construction materials across Kenya.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, coach and motivate a sales team to meet monthly and annual targets.
• Develop and implement sales strategies to increase market share.
• Identify new business opportunities with construction firms, contractors, government agencies and NGOs.
• Manage relationships with distributors, dealers, stockists and key accounts.
• Conduct market visits to gather customer insights and monitor competitor activity.
• Prepare sales forecasts, budgets and performance reports.
• Coordinate with production, logistics and finance to ensure smooth order fulfillment.
• Participate in tender submissions, contract negotiations and large‑project quotations.
• Oversee debt management and timely collection of customer payments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Sales & Marketing, Business Administration, Commerce or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of sales experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Proven experience selling steel or construction‑related products.
• Strong understanding of the Kenyan construction and manufacturing sectors.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel extensively across Kenya.
