Senior Android Developer - Kotlin Multiplatform & AI Coding

About the role

We are building a mobile app that blends real‑world interactions with location and proximity technologies, using AI coding tools and autonomous agents to accelerate development. We seek a senior developer to own mobile development, deliver reliable software, and help the team become more effective with AI‑assisted coding.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and improve our Android application using Kotlin and Kotlin Multiplatform.
• Design shared application logic and integrate platform‑specific functionality.
• Implement and troubleshoot location and proximity features involving GPS, BLE, UWB, and related device capabilities.
• Use AI coding assistants and coding agents extensively to implement features, investigate defects, refactor code, and support testing.
• Set up and improve agentic development workflows, including task decomposition, automated checks, and review processes.
• Mentor a junior team member through pair programming, demonstrations, and clear explanations.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience delivering and maintaining production Android applications with Kotlin.
• Strong practical experience with Kotlin Multiplatform, including shared code and platform‑specific integrations.
• Solid understanding of Android architecture, Jetpack Compose, coroutines, Flow, lifecycle, and state management.
• Strong debugging skills across application code, APIs, and device behavior.
• Hands‑on experience using AI coding tools and a strong interest in agentic coding workflows.
• Ability to assess AI‑generated solutions critically and explain implementations.
• Willingness and ability to teach less‑experienced team members patiently and clearly.
• Capability to work independently, communicate progress clearly, and take ownership in a remote team.
