Senior Associate – People & Change (HR Consulting)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Associate to join KPMG’s Business Consulting Services Unit in Nairobi. The role will support clients by analysing their people and organisational needs, developing HR strategies and delivering compliant solutions that align with KPMG’s standards.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in planning, budgeting and quality assurance for client engagements, tracking milestones and ensuring timely delivery.
• Lead internal and client meetings, maintain progress updates and secure financial closure of engagements.
• Prepare proposals, bids and quotations, and contribute to business development activities to grow revenue.
• Identify cross‑selling opportunities, manage billing cycles and ensure collections within agreed terms.
• Supervise and coach junior team members, provide performance feedback and oversee leave management.
• Maintain compliance with KPMG policies, QRM standards and risk‑management documentation.
• Contribute to thought‑leadership content such as articles, webinars and market initiatives.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in HR or People & Change consulting, preferably within a professional services environment.
• Proven ability to manage multiple engagements, budgets and client relationships.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a commercial mindset.
• Experience supervising and developing junior staff.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and adherence to firm policies.
