Senior Associate Product Owner – Payments Platform

About the role

This senior associate product owner role supports the Group’s Fit For Growth programme, focusing on the development of a new cross‑border payments platform (SC Remit). The position can be based in India or Malaysia and will drive product innovation, digital journeys, and market‑leading capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the vision, OKRs and backlog for the payments squad, ensuring end‑to‑end requirements are complete and consistent.
• Prioritise user stories, manage sprint planning and keep the backlog up‑to‑date.
• Coordinate with technology leads, Hive Lead, Chapter Lead and other product owners to align road‑maps, priorities and dependencies.
• Work with market teams to commercialise and monetise new capabilities, driving product adoption.
• Evaluate and optimise technical stack and automate back‑end processes for straight‑through processing.
• Provide performance feedback for squad members and help allocate resources dynamically.

Required profile

• Deep knowledge of agile principles and experience leading product squads.
• Proven ability to manage stakeholder expectations and deliver on timelines and budgets.
• Experience in payments, remittance or fintech product development.
• Strong analytical mindset to define success metrics and track performance.
