Senior Business Analyst

About the role

Jubilee Holdings Limited, part of Jubilee Group, the largest composite insurer in East Africa, is hiring a Senior Business Analyst for its Head Office in Nairobi. The post reports to the Senior Manager - Business & Process Analysis and bridges business and technical teams by turning business needs into clear technical requirements and managing the requirements lifecycle, including coordinating solution testing and validation.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse business needs and stakeholder requirements, and evaluate customer feedback, operational data and market trends to identify digital experience and process improvement opportunities.
• Elicit, analyse and document business requirements through interviews, workshops, surveys and document reviews, and communicate them clearly to the solution delivery team.
• Review business processes and workflows, recommend improvements and conduct root cause analysis of complaints, operational issues, audit findings and risk incidents.
• Develop test cases and acceptance criteria, maintain requirements traceability matrices, carry out preliminary quality assurance and support user testing.
• Ensure solutions comply with industry standards, information security, data protection regulations and internal policies, and follow requirements management guidelines.
• Collaborate with business, technology and project partners, share knowledge and document lessons learned.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, IT or a related field.
• CBAP certification is mandatory.
• At least five years' experience in business analysis on complex projects.
• Experience in requirements gathering, functional specifications, solution testing and stakeholder coordination.
• Insurance industry knowledge and multi-market experience are desirable.

Required skills

• PMP, PRINCE2, Lean Six Sigma or Agile certification is an added advantage.
• Problem-solving, oral and written communication, stakeholder engagement, planning and prioritisation.
• Systems thinking and awareness of emerging technologies.
