Senior Cloud Engineer – AWS & Terraform

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to design, implement and maintain secure, scalable AWS infrastructure. You will drive automation, DevOps culture and cloud‑native best practices across our development and operations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and operate highly available cloud platforms on AWS using Terraform IaC.
• Automate provisioning, configuration management and deployment pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, observability and alerting solutions.
• Collaborate with software engineers and architects to define cloud‑native solutions and deployment strategies.
• Implement cloud security controls (IAM, RBAC, secrets management, Security Hub) and support FinOps cost‑optimisation initiatives.
• Provide incident management, root‑cause analysis and continuous improvement of platform reliability.

Required profile

• Strong experience designing, implementing and operating cloud‑native architectures on AWS.
• Proven track record with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD tools, monitoring platforms and cloud security best practices.
• Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills, with a customer‑centric mindset.

• Git version control
• Observability tools (CloudWatch, Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, ELK)
• Linux administration and scripting (Python, Bash)
• Networking concepts (VPC, Transit Gateway, Security Groups, NACLs, NAT Gateways, PrivateLink)
• Cloud security (IAM, RBAC, encryption, Security Hub, compliance frameworks)
• FinOps and cloud cost‑optimisation tools (Cloudability or similar)
