Senior DevOps Engineer – Malaysia/India

About the role

Standard Chartered Bank is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join its Engineering Excellence & DevOps team. The role can be based in Malaysia or India and will focus on building reliable, automated cloud platforms that support the bank’s software delivery pipeline.

Key responsibilities

• Understand and implement the bank’s DevOps strategy, driving automation and TOIL reduction.
• Collaborate with application delivery teams to adopt DevOps pipelines and improve delivery efficiency.
• Design and implement solutions that meet compliance, security, and risk‑management requirements.
• Produce technical documentation, training materials, and provide support to delivery teams.
• Embed governance, quality assurance, and regulatory standards into all solutions.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or DevOps.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS and Azure architecture, design, and implementation.
• Proficiency in Python and cloud tooling such as Helm, EKS, AKS, dashboards, and monitoring.
• Experience with CI/CD tools including Azure DevOps, Artifactory, and SonarQube.
• Knowledge of cloud security best practices and familiarity with Unix/Windows environments, Bash/Shell or PowerShell scripting.
