Senior Embedded Software Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a senior embedded software engineer to drive extreme resource optimisation for our AI‑enabled battlefield platform. The role sits at the intersection of software and hardware, ensuring our AI runs with minimal power draw and memory usage in highly constrained edge devices.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement low‑level code where every byte and milliwatt matters.
• Develop and maintain a unified edge platform that powers multiple AI projects.
• Leverage AI‑assisted development tools to accelerate coding and testing.
• Iterate rapidly in a “try‑and‑fail” environment, collaborating with testing teams to validate performance.
• Integrate deeply with sensors, microcontrollers and other hardware components, ensuring seamless co‑design.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in embedded systems development.
• Strong proficiency in Python and C/C++ with a track record of hardware‑close programming.
• Demonstrated ability to optimise memory consumption and power performance.
• Experience working in highly constrained environments and delivering robust, efficient code.
