Senior Grants and Compliance Officer – DREEM Initiative

About the role

The Senior Grants and Compliance Officer will lead the financial and compliance management of the DREEM Phase II initiative, supporting refugee‑led organizations (RLOs) across Africa. This senior position reports to the DREEM programme lead and works closely with partners to ensure that grant funding is administered transparently and aligns with project objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the design, implementation and monitoring of the RLO Opportunity Fund and other grant mechanisms.
• Ensure compliance with donor requirements, internal policies and local regulations for all funded activities.
• Develop and maintain financial reporting templates, budgets, and audit trails for the DREEM programme.
• Provide technical assistance to RLOs and partner organisations on grant management, financial controls and reporting.
• Coordinate with the WUSC finance team to track disbursements, reconcile accounts and prepare periodic financial statements.
• Support the programme’s impact measurement by linking financial data to outcomes for youth employment and education.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in grants management, compliance or financial oversight within international development or humanitarian contexts.
• Demonstrated experience working with refugee‑led or community‑based organisations.
• Strong analytical abilities and familiarity with donor reporting standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
