Senior Grants & Finance Officer

About the role

InSupply Health is seeking an experienced Senior Grants & Finance Officer to lead the financial and grant‑management functions of a multi‑country, donor‑funded project expected to start in January 2027. The role covers the full grant lifecycle, from start‑up and budgeting through implementation, reporting, compliance and close‑out.

Key responsibilities

• Support grant establishment, budget operationalisation, and ongoing monitoring, ensuring alignment with donor regulations and internal SOPs.
• Prepare monthly budget‑versus‑actual analyses, forecasts and management reports, and advise on resource allocation.
• Maintain grant, financial and risk trackers; coordinate internal and external audits and resolve audit findings.
• Oversee subaward onboarding, partner financial management, capacity assessments and risk‑based compliance reviews.
• Coordinate financial inputs across countries and consortium partners, consolidating budgets, expenditures and forecasts.
• Provide technical guidance on donor compliance, improve grant management tools and support proposal development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management or related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (CPA(K) or ACCA) and membership in a recognized accounting body.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in grants management, donor compliance or programme finance within donor‑funded organisations.
• Experience working with major institutional donors such as USAID, FCDO, Global Fund, BMGF, EU or UNITAID.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of donor compliance requirements, grant regulations and contractual obligations.
• Advanced financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis capabilities.
• Excellent documentation, reporting and audit coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and meet strict deadlines.
