Senior Legal Manager

About the role

The Senior Legal Manager will act as a legal business partner to the commercial organisation, focusing on commercial transactions, contracting and customer‑related legal matters. The role also supports Human Resources, the tax team and other operational areas with legal expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Lead drafting, review, negotiation and management of customer master agreements and related transaction documents.
• Advise the commercial team on transaction structures, risk allocation, contractual rights and dispute resolution.
• Manage the full commercial contract lifecycle, including amendments, renewals and post‑termination obligations.
• Handle commercial disputes and litigation, develop resolution strategies and manage external counsel.
• Provide legal advice to HR on employment matters and support tax and regulatory compliance initiatives.

Required profile

• LLB or equivalent qualification and admitted lawyer of the High Court of Kenya.
• 7+ years of commercial and corporate law experience, including 5+ years in property or telecommunications law.
• Strong drafting, negotiation and commercial judgement skills.
• Excellent organizational, communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
