Senior Project Manager – Clinical Trials

About the role

The Project Manager will lead the planning, execution and delivery of clinical research projects, ensuring they meet the sponsor’s requirements, regulatory standards and internal SOPs. Reporting to senior leadership, the role involves coordinating cross‑functional teams, managing client communications and overseeing financial aspects of each study.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines and budgets for each clinical trial.
• Lead and coordinate cross‑functional project teams, including investigators, vendors and internal staff.
• Serve as primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and managing expectations.
• Ensure studies are conducted in compliance with ICH GCP, local regulations and company SOPs.
• Oversee site feasibility, selection and outsourcing activities as required.
• Mentor and coach junior project managers and clinical delivery leads.
• Monitor project performance, identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Prepare and present project status reports to senior management.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing clinical research projects from initiation to close‑out.
• Strong understanding of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage stakeholder relationships.
• Excellent financial management skills, including budgeting and cost control.
• Effective communication and presentation abilities.
