Senior Project Manager – Fixed-Term (Construction)

About the role

Safaricom is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead large‑scale mechanical and electrical construction projects on a fixed‑term basis. The role involves overseeing design, supervision, contract administration and successful delivery of projects across Kenya.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and monitor construction projects from inception to handover.
• Manage contracts, budgets, schedules and stakeholder communications.
• Ensure compliance with international and Kenyan construction codes.
• Produce regular progress reports and data‑driven insights.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and external consultants.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Professional certification such as PMP® or PRINCE2.
• Professional Engineer registration (PE/CE) with a recognized body.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in M&E engineering and project management.
• Strong knowledge of sustainability practices and ISO standards.
