Service Technician

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy‑duty diesel engines and related equipment. The role involves working directly with end‑users, collaborating with the Service Manager, and ensuring vehicles return to service safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Consult with end‑users to understand engine symptoms and discuss repair procedures.
• Diagnose mechanical and electronic engine malfunctions using diagnostic software and tools.
• Repair or replace faulty components, parts, and equipment.
• Follow inspection checklists and perform routine maintenance such as oil and filter changes, battery checks, and equipment lubrication.
• Order required parts, track usage, and return unused items in good condition.
• Test‑drive vehicles to verify repairs before returning them to service.
• Complete paperwork for customer invoicing or warranty claims.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and field service vehicle in compliance with safety policies and DOT regulations.
• Travel to other locations for assistance or training as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the heavy‑duty diesel engine industry or a related field.
• Ability to work independently and unsupervised.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving equipment.
