Sexual Harassment Lead

About the role
The Sexual Harassment Lead will serve as the organisation’s subject‑matter expert on sexual harassment, supporting the Safeguarding Team and related working groups. The role focuses on embedding, strengthening and advancing the response to sexual harassment in line with the amended Equality Act 2010 and the proactive duty to prevent harassment.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of the Seven‑Point Action Plan and guide progress through the Five‑Stage Maturity Model.
- Provide expert advice to senior leaders, HR, safeguarding leads and operational teams on compliance, risk management and best practice.
- Review, update and embed policies, procedures and governance frameworks to ensure legal compliance and trauma‑informed, survivor‑centred approaches.
- Develop, monitor and report on KPIs and performance measures, analysing incident data to inform strategic decisions.
- Design and deliver awareness‑raising campaigns, briefing sessions and training packages for staff, volunteers and leaders.
Required profile
- Demonstrated experience in safeguarding, equality and diversity, or a related HR function.
- Strong knowledge of the Equality Act 2010 and regulatory expectations around sexual harassment.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive organisational change.
- Excellent analytical, reporting and policy‑development skills.
