SIU Litigation Attorney – 1+ Year Experience

About the role

Marshall Dennehey is seeking an SIU Litigation Attorney to join its New York offices. The attorney will focus on defending insurance carriers and commercial insureds against fraudulent medical and other claims, and will lead affirmative actions including RICO‑based litigation.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with SIU departments to investigate and defend against fraudulent claims.
• Research, prepare, file, and litigate fraud actions, including RICO and other affirmative actions.
• Develop litigation strategies, negotiate complex matters, and review file assignments for resolution.
• Draft and argue motions, memoranda, and legal briefs in state and federal courts.
• Conduct depositions, examinations under oath, and attend arbitrations, mediations, and trials.
• Prepare court appearances, pre‑ and post‑trial motions, and settlement documents.

Required profile

• At least one year of litigation experience, preferably in insurance fraud defense.
• Strong investigative and legal writing abilities.
• Passion for combating fraud against the insurance industry.
• Consistent work history and ability to handle a diverse caseload.
