Social Media Marketing Intern

About the role

Nairobi Central Hardware Ltd. is looking for a proactive Social Media Marketing Intern to support its marketing team. This role offers hands‑on experience in digital content creation, campaign execution, and market research within a fast‑growing hardware and tools retailer.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and create content for social media platforms.
• Take and edit photographs of new products.
• Prepare and update an e‑catalogue.
• Assist with website maintenance and e‑commerce content updates.
• Create product videos and an online product knowledge curriculum for sales staff.
• Update data in Tally to generate reports.
• Support sales and administrative tasks as needed.

Required profile

• Degree (preferably in Marketing, IT, or Graphic Design) or equivalent portfolio.
• Strong communication skills in English and Kiswahili.
• Attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Leadership potential and willingness to learn.

Required skills

• Tally for data reporting.
• Social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter).
• Photo editing and basic photography.
• Graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator).
• Website maintenance and e‑commerce content creation.
• Video production and editing.
• Microsoft Office suite.
• Basic SEO and data analysis concepts.
