About the role

We are seeking an experienced Social Media Operations Manager to lead and scale the overseas social media presence of our three core brands across multiple African markets. The role will own strategy, content creation, performance analysis, and team leadership for major platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.

Key responsibilities

  • Own end‑to‑end social media operations for three brands across nine overseas markets, developing market‑specific strategies.
  • Lead content strategy and execution, tailoring tone, format and messaging for product launches, professional outreach, case studies and short‑form video.
  • Manage editorial planning and copywriting to ensure brand voice, cultural relevance and accurate product communication.
  • Plan and execute overseas social media campaigns, coordinating concepts, resources, execution and performance evaluation.
  • Collaborate with the PR team to align social and PR communications for unified brand influence.
  • Monitor platform performance data, produce regular reports and continuously optimise for ROI.
  • Track trends, competitor activity and industry dynamics to drive content innovation.
  • Lead and develop the overseas social media operations team, handling task allocation, timelines, capability building and performance management.

Required profile

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or a related field.
  • 5–8+ years of experience in overseas social media operations, including 2–3+ years of team management.
  • Background in a leading social media agency or international brand with strong knowledge of platform algorithms, content distribution and paid promotion logic.
  • Proven overseas social media case studies (highly preferred).
  • Deep understanding of cultural differences and user behavior across international markets.
  • Experience in the building materials sector (tiles, bathrooms, sanitary ware) or professional user communities such as masons/tilers.
