Software Craftsperson – Node.js, React.js & AI

About the role

We are looking for a Software Craftsperson who will work remotely from Kenya, building high-quality, scalable full-stack applications using Node.js, React.js and AI-enhanced development tools. The role offers full ownership of features from design through deployment in an AI-native environment that values craftsmanship and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain production-grade full-stack applications using Node.js and React.js.
• Apply software craftsmanship practices such as test-driven development, clean code, refactoring and continuous delivery.
• Take end-to-end ownership of features, including front-end, back-end services, infrastructure and deployment.
• Collaborate through pair programming, code reviews and proactive teamwork to raise engineering quality.
• Work closely with product teams to understand problems, define solutions and deliver impactful features.
• Participate in a culture of continuous learning, experimentation and raising technical standards.

Required profile

• At least 1.5 years of full-stack software development experience in production environments.
• Strong ownership mindset and ability to work autonomously.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms and software engineering methodologies.
• Experience with Agile and Extreme Programming (XP) practices in a continuous deployment setting.
