Software Engineer – E‑Commerce (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join a global technology leader in the e‑commerce space. The position is fully remote and focuses on building high‑performance backend services that power real‑time user experiences for millions of customers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services in distributed systems.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices and testing standards.
• Profile, debug, and optimise system performance and algorithms.
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical design sessions.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to ship features.

Required profile

• New‑grad or early‑career professional with a strong foundation in computer science.
• Demonstrated ability to work in cross‑functional, remote teams.
• Passion for solving complex technical challenges at scale.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Go, Python, or Java.
• Experience with distributed systems, microservices, or cloud‑native development.
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
