Solutions Architect – AI Enablement

About the role

The Co-operative Bank of Kenya is seeking a forward‑thinking Solutions Architect to lead AI enablement across the enterprise. You will shape and govern AI solution architectures that are scalable, secure, resilient, and aligned with the bank’s digital transformation agenda.

Key responsibilities

• Define and govern end‑to‑end AI‑enabled solution architectures, integrations and technology patterns.
• Design architecture covering applications, APIs, automation, AI orchestration, security, operational readiness and platform integration.
• Translate business requirements into reusable, implementation‑ready designs that deliver measurable value.
• Ensure compliance with governance, security, privacy, resilience, audit and regulatory requirements, embedding AI risk controls.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, data, security, risk, compliance and architecture teams to support implementation, reviews and technical quality assurance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, AI/ML or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Solution Architecture or Enterprise Architecture.
• Professional certifications in Solution, Enterprise, Cloud, API, Cybersecurity or AI Architecture are a plus.
• Exposure or training in AI, machine learning, analytics, cloud platforms, DevSecOps or responsible AI.
