Solutions Architect & Presales Engineer

About the role

Jamii Telecommunications is seeking a seasoned Solutions Architect & Presales Engineer to design end‑to‑end telecommunications solutions that meet customer and business needs. You will work closely with commercial, engineering, and operations teams to translate requirements into secure, scalable, and commercially viable architectures.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop comprehensive telecom solutions based on client specifications.
• Provide technical support to commercial teams throughout the sales cycle.
• Prepare and respond to RFPs, RFQs, tenders, and technical proposals.
• Create solution architectures, network diagrams, Bill of Quantities and technical specifications.
• Participate in customer meetings, presentations, site surveys and solution clarification sessions.
• Conduct feasibility studies, capacity planning and network architecture reviews.
• Support network planning, expansion, upgrades, migrations and optimisation initiatives.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Operations to ensure implementable and supportable solutions.

Required profile

• Minimum seven years of experience in telecommunications, network engineering, solutions architecture or pre‑sales engineering.
• Proven track record designing technical/network solutions for enterprise customers.
• Experience supporting RFPs, RFQs, tenders and technical proposal development.
• Strong ability to work with cross‑functional teams and engage customers.
• Familiarity with technology vendors and solution partners is an advantage.
