Stakeholder Engagement Support Consultant

About the role

CGIAR is looking for an experienced consultant to provide targeted coordination and facilitation support for stakeholder engagement as part of its 2040 Strategy development. Working under the CGIAR Strategy Task Team, you will help ensure broad ownership and commitment to the new strategic direction.

Key responsibilities

• Refine and implement the stakeholder engagement plan, including mapping and selection of engagement methods.
• Design, launch, and analyse a comprehensive stakeholder survey to inform the strategy.
• Conduct 50‑60 semi‑structured interviews with senior CGIAR leaders, board members, council members and partners, and synthesize key insights.
• Organise, facilitate and document outcomes of virtual and in‑person stakeholder consultation meetings.
• Prepare a final report that translates findings into actionable recommendations for the CGIAR 2040 Strategy.

Required profile

• Proven experience in stakeholder engagement, strategic consulting or similar advisory roles.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret survey data and interview findings.
• Excellent facilitation skills for both virtual and face‑to‑face workshops.
• Ability to work independently under the guidance of the Strategy Task Team.
