About the role
The Public Service Commission, through the State Department for Housing and Urban Development, is offering a 12‑month Structural Assistant Internship under the Affordable Housing Programme. The role supports housing development projects across Kenya and provides hands‑on experience in engineering and project documentation.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out duties assigned by supervisors and agreed upon mutually.
- Document skills and activities acquired in deployment areas of the Affordable Housing Programme.
- Participate actively in mentorship activities and related programme events.
- Undertake additional responsibilities designed to support project sites nationwide.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in a relevant engineering or construction field from a recognised university.
- Graduated no earlier than 2020.
- Proficient computer skills.
- No prior participation in a similar internship programme.
What we offer
- Stipend paid at a rate determined by the Government of Kenya.
- Certificate awarded upon successful completion of the 12‑month internship.
