Supply Chain Management Officer

About the role

The Supply Chain Management Officer will ensure uninterrupted availability of raw materials, packaging, farm inputs and operational supplies for a fast‑moving consumer goods (FMCG) business. The role focuses on cost optimisation, efficiency improvements and supporting overall business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Coordinate procurement activities and prepare accurate procurement plans and forecasts.
• Manage supplier relationships, conduct negotiations and evaluate supplier performance.
• Monitor inventory levels, stock availability and turnover, ensuring optimal stock levels.
• Oversee warehousing operations, inventory controls and logistics for inbound and outbound movements.
• Prepare regular supply chain performance reports and collaborate with finance, production and sales teams.
• Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities within the supply chain.
• Manage departmental budgets and resources.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related field.
• Minimum three years of relevant experience, preferably in FMCG, retail or food processing.
• Professional CIPS qualification is an advantage.
• Proven experience in procurement, inventory management and logistics coordination.
• Strong analytical, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
