Tailor – Full‑time Position in Nairobi

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Tailor to join our creative team in Nairobi’s Westlands district. The role involves producing high‑quality garments and providing precise alterations for our clients on a full‑time basis.

Key responsibilities

• Take accurate body measurements and conduct fittings to ensure garments meet client specifications.
• Adjust hems, seams, waistlines, sleeves, and replace zippers or buttons as required.
• Cut, sew, and assemble garments from scratch, including uniforms, suits, and dresses.
• Work with a variety of fabrics such as cotton, silk, wool, and synthetics.
• Advise clients on fabric care, styling options, and alteration possibilities.
• Maintain sewing machines, tools, and keep the work area clean and organized.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of hands‑on tailoring experience.
• Strong eye for detail and ability to follow client specifications.
• Good communication skills to interact with clients and team members.

Required skills

• Sewing and garment construction.
• Fabric handling and knowledge of diverse materials.
• Alteration techniques including hemming, seam adjustment, and button/zipping replacement.
• Maintenance of sewing machines and related tools.
